How Do I Connect My Computer To A Router. I Keep Receiving A Limited Or No Connectivity Message?

For some reason it works on my girlfriend’s computer, but I constantly get the message on my computer and laptop. Could someone please help me with some detailed advice?

  1. 1st Find out the IP address of your router the best way to do this is
    Start > Run > CMD
    IPCONFIG / ALL
Look for the Default Gateway IP Address something like 192.168.0.1
Then type this in to your browser IE or Firefox or whatever
Then use your login in information which I hope you or your girlfrind has.
    Hope this helps

  2. probably a conflicting ip address, in comand promt type ipconfig/release hit enter then type ipconfig/ renew hit enter

  3. are you pluggin in with wireless or wired?
