Personally, I use GParted:http://gparted.sourceforge.net/
Its free and is the standard for any disk utility toolbox, coming built-in to your OS, plus Live CD and Live USB flavours.</description>

It will allow you to reconfigure partitions on the fly, and you can delete and create partitions as easily as you can format a floppy diskette!  Otherwise you need some other kind of utility that will allow you to delete and create drive partitions.  Partition Magic is pretty much the industry standard.</description>
