Is Re-formatting A Hard Drive Still The Way To Clean Off A Hard Drive?
Dell Demension 4400 had problems and would not operate- would freeze up. We had data recovered from hard drive so we could reformat.
On older computers we used to re-format to get rid of problems.
BTW- the error message I get is error loading C:/windows system 32\bridge.32dll
But now- I can figure out how to format. I have the start-up cd.
Can anyone give me instructions?

It will reformat itself when you reinstall windows

yes simply insert the cd turn off computer turn it back on with the cd still inside and select to format with cd and follow the instructions..simple as that =]
The reformat is self automated. As long as your CD-drive is set up to boot first in your bios, you will be fine.
