How Do I Install Programs To My External Hard Drive?

I have an external hard drive, and I wanted to install the Sims 2, and other expansion packs on it, not wasting my memory on my Window’s Vista lap top. How do I do this?

  1. ok to do this….when you are installing any program it asks you to specify the directory of where to install…..for example if you want to install sims 2 the by default directory is C:/Program files…..u might already knew this….so to install it to your external harddrive just change the default directory to your external hard drive directory…and then choose install….then what happens is it’s gonna install all the files to that directory or folder letting you to play frm your hard drive…
NOTE:U might experience some lags because usb’s are not faster than SATA’s….but still doesn’t matter if u want to save the space…

  2. When installing Sims 2 , try and select the place to install as your external hard drive… So instead of installing on C: Local Disk you will choose to install it on a different drive.
