to turn everything back on again, that is normal for a computer
to do if you leave it on and dont use it for awhile.

I would partially go with answerer #1, because it could not be getting any signal, probably meaning you need a new video card, or the cable to your monitor from your computer or the video card is loose. However seeing that the power button is blinking, that could mean a bad power supply. You may have to bring it to a pro. if you don't know how to go inside the compute though because that is pretty much the only way to trouble shoot other than the cord being loose.

Obviously the monitor is fine. Usually a blinking power button means the computer is in standby or hibernation mode, and the blank monitor means no video signal. All pretty straightforward. I assume you have turned the computer off then back on again, right? It could be a faulty video card or cable connection. If your graphics card has different outputs, try switching to the other one and see if that helps. Good luck.
