How Do I Change The Drive Letter Address Of My External Hard Drive?

I unplugged my external hard drive to use the USB cord for something else. When I plugged it back in, the drive letter had changed. How do I change it to something like Z: that won’t change when I plug something else in?

  1. - right click my computer
    - point to manage
    - point to storage -> Disk Management
    - right click the drive you want to change -> Change drive letter and path
    good luck

  2. right click my computer, go to manage, right click the volume, change drive letter, assign the letter, hit apply, ok, and your finished.
