What Kind Of Computer Should I Buy For Gaming?

I really want a computer for gaming, but I don’t understand the difference between computers. I went looking at a couple of places but the guys try to get my to buy the most expensive ones for more than 1000. Is it neccesary to spend that much for a good gaming computer? When I’m looking for a computer what should I be looking for? I really don’t care what brand it is either.

  1. Recommended computer requirements for good gaming experience:
    1. 2.5 or higher GHz.
    2. 1 GB of RAM (XP), 2GB of RAM (Vista).
    3. Nvidia GeForce 6 Series and above.
    4. 120 GB Hard disk.
    5. LCD Monitor.

  2. basic requirements:
core 2 duo CPU (at least T7200)
    2GB RAM
good graphic card- ATI Radeon or GeForce
apart from that, you can get a fair amount of hard disk space, lets say at least 120 GB hard disk space..
    That will do i think…
