How Do You Remove Candle Wax From A Computer Tower?

I had a fully melted candle on a candle warmer tip over, and covered the front of my computer tower. It covers both my CD drive and DVD drive, and im afraid to open them, and getting wax into the interior of my computer. How do I remove it, without damaging my computer tower?

  1. You should take your front panel off,it should tell you how in your owners manual, then you can get the wax off of it with really hot water poured over it.Hopefully with that front panel off you can use a hot iron and an old towel to get the wax off the drive panels.put the towel over the front and heat the towel with the iron to suck the wax into the towel. That should take care of the biggest part of it.

  2. Take a towel and hot iron. Place the towel over the wax and start to iron. This will melt the was on to the fabric. Frequently move the towel as wax will build up on it. This will work for the flat areas. As for the grooves, take a toothpick and start to scrape. You will never remove all of the residue, but it will help. Do not use the steam setting on the iron.
