in dos command c:/ format c:
Well you can run a program called killdisk http://www.killdisk.com/downloadfree.htm OR
do an Fdisk http://support.microsoft.com/kb/255867
I personally would do the fdisk. If your going to reload the O.S anyway, just put in the operating system disk if this is windows 2000, XP or Vista it will give you a format option so the above would not even be necessary.
You need to reinstall Windows or else install another OS like Ubuntu:http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/downloadhttps://help.ubuntu.com/community/Burnin…
When you re-install, it will format the drive for you.
You can open a command prompt by clicking start and then run and typing cmd. Then just type format d: where d is the drive letter you want to format. If you’re trying to format your c: drive you’ll have to do that from a Windows boot disc and you’ll have to reinstall. Note that you’ll lose all data on the disc that you’re formatting.
format /s
